This is the official website for donations to Green Lawn Abbey.

If you have a friend or relative buried in the Abbey or simply appreciate classic architecture and history, we hope you will help in the “Resurrection of Green Lawn Abbey”. From a deteriorating roof, to the broken doors and stained glass windows caused by mindless vandalism, the costs associated with preserving and maintaining a facility like this is overwhelming. The annual budget allocated from the trust is barely enough to pay the electric bill and yard maintenance. When it comes to vandalism repairs, the resources simply aren’t there.

Your help is needed NOW

Every month that goes by more vandalism and deterioration increase what we need to raise to restore the building. Our immediate goal is to raise $10,000 to purchase a security system, install security glass at some critical windows and do some grading around the building (to preserve the foundation). Even small donations can add up and help us reach this goal. Can you help?

Donations by Check

Make your check payable to the Columbus Landmarks Foundation and mail to the below address. Be sure to write “Green Lawn Abbey” in the lower left-hand corner of your check. You will receive a receipt back in the mail. Your donation will be used expressly for the restoration and support of Green Lawn Abbey.

Donations by Credit Card

We temporarily are NOT able to process credit card donations. We hope to restore this feature in the future. In the meantime, we ask you donate by a check made out to Columbus Landmarks Foundation with a notation for Green Lawn Abbey in the memo section of your check. This will ensure your donation is used exclusively to preserve this historic landmark. Thank you for your patience.

Donations by Credit Card

If you would like to make your donation using a credit card, please CLICK HERE to be transferred to the secure line at Columbus Landmark Foundations’ website. When you arrive at the Landmarks website, simply check the box "Specify Donation to Benefit Green Lawn Abbey". By checking this box you can be assured that your donation will be used expressly for the restoration and support of this historic landmark. You will receive a return e-mail acknowledging a successful transaction which will be followed by a letter of receipt by mail.

The Columbus Landmarks Foundation is a registered a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so donations are fully tax deductible. Check with your employer to see if they have matching funds for charitable donations.
